Mobile Transformers:

Normally a power transformer is the largest and heaviest device in the substation, so when we are speaking about a mobile substation, it requires special design and manufacturing techniques in order to reduce total weight and dimensions of the power transformer. By the way there will be serious limitation in manufacturing mobile transformers according to traffic and transportation rules.

• Useful when erection and installation of a stationary is hard to achieve, such as in force majeure
• Rating: ≤50MVA
• Voltage: ≤230kV

Applications:

Establishing a conventional substation is not possible in some cases according to time limitations and In these cases the best solution is using a mobile substation in order for fast energizing the loads. After installing mobile substation in an area it could be easily uninstalled and moved to the other areas. Also these substations have remarkable advantages in feeding temporary loads.
